Our goal is to ensure that all individuals in Montrose County have access to thorough information about the voting procedure. By offering easily understandable and readily available resources, our aim is to empower all members of the community to participate in the democratic process and have a say in local and national matters.

Let’s unite to guarantee that every single voice is significant!

All you need is your name, date of birth, and ZIP code, although you can also sign up to receive emails and/or texts when your future ballots are mailed, received, and counted.

So are we! And so is the Colorado Secretary of State, who has built a comprehensive website to address this crucial matter. Check it out and see what you can do to help fight disinformation.

Visit the Office of District Attorney, 7th Judicial District website to report a possible election violation.

If you believe you have been the victim of voter intimidation or voter harassment, please call 911 or report the incident to the law enforcement agency in the locality and jurisdiction where the intimidation or harassment occurred.

In 2016, voters passed Propositions 107 and 108, which allowed voters who are not members of any party (unaffiliated voters) to vote in primary elections. However, unaffiliated voters still cannot participate in precinct caucuses.

If you are unaffiliated, you will be allowed to vote in the primary election in June, but you will not be allowed to participate in either the Democratic or Republican caucuses this March.

If you are unaffiliated and have more questions, please refer to the frequently asked questions page regarding primary elections page available on the Colorado Secretary of State’s website.  You may also contact our office at State.ElectionsDivision@sos.state.co.us or 303-894-2200 (extension 3).
