UPDATED July 2, 2021

We are hoping that every Democrat and unaffiliated voter in Montrose County will show up to march behind our float at the July 4th Parade. We will be celebrating our Declaration of Independence with a giant Statue of Liberty.

We just received updated information from the City of Montrose that the parade will line up and start from the back parking lot of the Montrose County Event Center. Do not go to Pythian or North 1st Street — we won’t be there!

Join us no later than 9:30 AM on July 4th when we’ll be working hard to get our float in a good position on the parade line. Wear or bring your patriotic fashion statement. Once again, we will be handing out frozen Otter Pops for all the kids.

We have purchased 50 small American flags (or bring your own). Consider carrying a fun non-political sign and, if possible, please wear your MCDP hats and shirts.

We had a blast in 2019 and will once again be handing out frozen popsicle treats along the parade route. You can expect to head home around 11:00 AM with plenty of the holiday left to enjoy with your loved ones.
