A big shoutout to everyone who contributed to building the floats and marched with us on July 4th. Your efforts did not go unnoticed. We distributed 1,800 frozen pops to kids along the parade route, and it was all thanks to you.

What you may not see in the photos is that our display of Democrat pride stretched for about 300 yards, from the first float to the last. To put this into context, in 2018, eleven members of the Montrose Democratic party participated, carrying one banner and a few signs. Today, we stand as a strong community, a testament to our growth and unity. We certainly have come a long way!

Many observers were not just surprised, but also delighted by our presence. MCDP and our candidates (Curry, Buerger, and Angeles) were exposed to approximately 5,000 folks in attendance. This matters as Montrose County moves to a more diverse and progressive community, and there is nothing more powerful than showing up! Your participation was not just noticed, but appreciated.
