Montrose Democrats unite! It’s time for us to stop being apologetic for being Democrats. It’s time to come out of hiding and march with pride. The Montrose County Democratic Party is reorganized and rejuvenated. And we need to show up so others will know that we exist in this conservative community!
Join with your fellow Democrats, unaffiliated voters, and disillusioned Republicans as we march together in the Montrose Independence Day Parade on Thursday, July 4th.
We will gather at 3:15 pm on Nevada Avenue, just north of North 1st Street. The parade starts at 4:00 PM, going from North Pythian to South Rio Grand Avenue.
There will be a few seats available for those who cannot walk the parade route. It will be hot, so dress accordingly. Water will be provided. We will have a few seats for those that cannot walk the route. Those walking will hand out candy along the Main Street parade route.
Wear and carry your favorite Dem-ware: shirts, hats, flags, or whatever crazy idea comes to mind. This is going to be so much fun! We will decorate my pickup truck and small trailer at 10:00 AM on Thursday morning, so come on over to my house (443 Golden Drive, Montrose) and lend a hand.
Come one, come all! Bring your friends and family! Let’s show Montrose County that we are showing up to make difference. It’s the best way to get more people to join us.
