The Montrose County Democratic Party proudly announces the winners of the Gayle Clarke Scholarships for 2022.
The recipient of the $2,000 scholarship is Bridger Kurtz, who is planning to attend Colorado Mesa University and major in history and secondary education and minor in coaching.
Valerie Merritt will receive a $1,000 scholarship which she will use to attend Western Colorado University in Gunnison. She is looking for a future serving in museums, libraries, or archives with plans to eventually earn a master’s degree.
The MCDP wishes both of them the very best in their educational endeavors.
